GG Vybe x Refuge Worldwide Popup-Radio @ Hayat Habibi*s Festival

In the organizer's words:

We, GG Vybe, are pleased to announce our Pop Up Radio event in collaboration with Refuge Worldwide Radio as part of the Hayat Habibis* Festival. Our intention as GG VYBE is to open doors for artists who fall into the gaps of the music industry's attention span. It is important to us to present a variety of sounds and DJs and thus make individual, personal experiences and diverse migrant perspectives visible. We want to change narratives for the better by opening doors for people from different backgrounds. As part of Pop up Radio, we will spotlight BiPoC/ Flinta* DJs that we have discovered through live events, social media and/or hearsay in our community.

In addition to DJ sets, podcasts and talks will also be part of the program: On Friday the 27th with Ayesha Khan and Dîlan Karacadag and a live episode of their podcast "(un)deutsch" in which they discuss their favorite places in Frankfurt and their influence on their identity and meaning in a post-migrant urban society. Followed by an empowerment table talk with Zara from @migrantischepsyche (Instagram) and Can from @die_paralellelklasse (TikTok). On Saturday, September 28, Niyousha Akbari will join festival curator Onur Suzan Nobrega for a joint discussion on the criminalization of shisha bars. The entire program will take place as a hang-out session live on site at Mousonturm and will then be broadcast on Refuge Worldwide Radio (exact broadcast date tbd).
