Some call it QUATSCH! "They do this nonsense because they can!" (LVZ) or NONSENS! "Meaningless nonsense!" (LKZ), the others sit enchanted and say: What freedom! Countess's mother Stefanie Oberhoff, British performer Henry Sargeant aka Mr. Vast and Leipzig theater has-beens Lehmann & Wenzel do the same as Hansel and Gretel and venture into the deep forest together. No path far and wide, the occasional crumb, and the gingerbread house grows in the middle. Nothing is certain until it is finished at the end: not what happens, not the players from each other, not the audience from dental floss. Exquisite puppetry, musical excursions and a real choice between nonsense and hilarity. For people with nerves of steel.
