Gíslason / Schiffer are a tried and tested pair as translators and accomplices of Icelandic poetry. More than 10 volumes of poetry from the island in the Arctic Ocean have been published so far, the latest of which was published this year, with night work by none other than Sjón, singer Björk's favorite songwriter. The fact that one of them (Jón Thor) actually paints or draws and the other (Wolfgang) likes to write himself is clearly evident in another work: Gespräche mit dem Enkel. This gem in classic letterpress printing contains graphics by the one and texts by the other. And finally, there is also Ich höre dem Regen zu, a new volume of poetry that Wolfgang Schiffer has written all by himself, but which he is also happy to present at an event together with Jón Thor Gíslason.
The reading will take place as part of the exhibition "Orient - India - Oman" Photography - Gerd Kleiker" .
