Glass workshop for young people between the ages of 10 and 16

the Weißwasser Glass Museum

We make vessels from Plexiglas. We use what is known as the thermoforming process.

What is it and how does it work? How can an instrument of industrial mass production be used in an art workshop?
The first step is to build a mold out of clay. This is then turned into a workpiece made of Plexiglas.

The resulting works will be presented in the Wilhelm Wagenfeld Haus and then in the Glasmuseum/Weißwasser. There, the presentation is combined with a one-day workshop on the subject of stained glass.

Finally, the finished workpieces will be returned to Bremen.
