A young man wants to master simultaneity and monologues his way through self-exploration and perception of the world. After a witty display of how the body works, he undertakes increasingly daring attempts at exploration and articulation. He wants to grasp space with its molecules, air and radio waves and asks himself how a smell can catapult him back to a time long past, which is then more real than reality. Then he also tries to get hold of the tens of thousands of people flying in airplanes, sailing in ships or waging war in the sky - all at the same time!
It is not the big, oversized questions that the author and theater man Yevgeny Grishkovets, celebrated in Russia and showered with prizes, tries to answer in his texts. His method is one of normality and closeness to the audience. His themes are drawn from life and at the same time universal, melancholy, but also funny. Without any doctrinaire-dogmatic pretensions or a postmodern-pessimistic point of view, Yevgeny Grishkovets invites us to engage with feelings, things, being and existence during an evening of theater together - and to do so with undaunted curiosity!
With Jonas Laiblin and two surprise guests in a production by Annette Schmidt
