Glen Buschmann Jazz Akademie

It swings, sounds and jazzy: various ensembles and participants who have studied at the Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy over the past two years will showcase their skills.

On November 29, the Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy will once again present itself to the public with its most important ensembles, lecturers and course participants at cafe balou as part of its 2024 end-of-semester concerts. Many new faces, young stars and talents will perform in various formations from 7:30 pm with Free admission. These include the Wednesday ensemble of the GBJA Dortmund under the direction of Ingo Senst and Philipp Hayduk (including the WDR Big Band), various ensembles under the direction of Felix Riedel and the exam concert of the up-and-coming young percussionist Lennart Hötter. Enjoy an evening full of the most diverse jazz styles and other guests and musical surprises. Entertaining, very varied, thought-provoking and full of new talent. An evening that should above all be a lot of fun.

The Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy Dortmund, founded in 1996 in memory of Prof. Rainer "Glen" Buschmann and awarded the WDR Jazz Prize in the "Honorary Prize" category in 2017, has earned a great reputation in NRW and Germany. Especially with a highly regarded teaching concept and a number of renowned jazz musicians. No wonder: the academy's lecturers and teaching assistants are nationally and internationally active jazz musicians with a wealth of experience - both musically and educationally.
