G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos

In the organizer's words:

G.Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos

The group was founded at the end of 1999, artistically stubborn, influenced by the DIY of the punk bands or the 90s hardcore bands. At some point, they got tired of that or not and wanted to start something quieter but still cool. This led to the development of their very own sound. For years now, the Hermanos Patchekos have been moving back and forth between swing, cumbia, folk, Latin, their punk influences and lo-fi orchestras.

They have now released ten studio albums on Gutfeeling Records, the last of which will be released in November 2023. And they have even scored films. Three soundtrack albums for "Munich 7" (nominated for the Grimme Award, among others).

The Hermanos Patchekos' actual machine consists of two percussionists who don't really play their drums in the conventional sense: A conga player and a drum kit assembled from plastic boxes and sheet metal. The whole thing rattles very south. Then there's the Patcheko brass section (3 trumpets, 1 clarinet + baritone saxophone), 3 guitars, 1 crooner, double bass, accordion, kalimba, percussion.

Depending on the mood, somehow a Meditarranean Arkestra. And absolutely hypnotic.
