Documentary - GB 2024 - 89' - OmU
Director: Pinny Grylls, Sam Crane
During the Covid lockdown, actors Sam and Mark spend their time in the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto. When they discover a theater there, they have a brilliant idea: why not stage Shakespeare's "Hamlet" in this virus-free environment? But that's not so easy in a world that's more about shooting than high culture. But they actually find fellow actors who believe in their vision. A surprisingly moving film that was actually "shot" entirely in a computer game.
All about the power of images in film, pop culture, art and society. At FILM FESTIVAL COLOGNE from October 17-24, 2024 and always online.
