Another enchanting film adventure by Portuguese director Miguel Gomes (TABU). Rangoon, Burma, 1917: Edward, an official of the British Empire, flees from his fiancée Molly on the day of her wedding. Determined to marry and more amused than annoyed by Edward's move, Molly follows his trail on this grand Asian journey from Singapore to Bangkok to Osaka and through China. A film full of playful, melancholy wanderlust, which deservedly won Gomes the prize for Best Director at the Cannes Festival.
