Five Mexican and five German artists present the artistic results of their collaboration in the exhibition "gute aussichten FOKUS Mexiko-Deutschland". An intercultural dialog between current positions in the art of photography and the artworks of the SGK in "Update! Viewing the collection anew. Change of Scene 1" was the result. Based on an intensive exchange in Mexico City, the ten artists came together in mixed tandems. Over a period of eight months of working together in creative pairs, new works were developed that reflect the cultural, artistic and social roots and constellations in a global world of images. In addition, questions about one's own identity and that of others, gender equality, the relationship between nature and sustainability, experiences at home and abroad, rituals and our social interaction are reflected upon. In conjunction with our collection presentation, which is designed as a lively "change of scenery" - works are exchanged at regular intervals and artists are invited to enter into a dialog with our collection with their works - mutual ruptures, frictions and, in particular, similarities arise.
