Virtuoso and unmistakable. With its unmistakable style, the Hamburg Klezmer Band has long been one of the best-known klezmer groups in Germany.

They play an extremely versatile and varied program of Yiddish, Moldavian, Ukrainian and Romanian music, highly virtuosic, with a lot of soul and unrestrained joy of dancing. The band has mastered authentic and traditional playing, but the soul of the Hamburg Klezmer Band is the exploration of new paths. Excursions to other genres and cultures are not uncommon. A wide variety of styles are used to create a unique sound that makes the concert experience exciting and unmistakable - a great mixture of tradition and modernity.

The members of the band are musicians who participate and perform in various projects around the world and who explore Yiddish music and its associated culture and backgrounds in depth. The band consists of violinist, composer and teacher of Yiddish dances Mark Kovnatskiy; accordionist, composer and arranger Stanislav Dinerman, double bassist Axel Burkhardt, and percussionist Evgenii Lizin.
