In the organizer's words:

The Hannover Historical Museum is being renovated and extensively refurbished. The Hannover Kiosk is the modern, open and inviting temporary museum. It is an exhibition space, a forum for discussions, a location for families and children's birthday parties, a meeting place, a place to learn about Hannover's past, present and future or simply a place to take a deep breath in the hustle and bustle of the city. The city museum of the future is being tested here together with the people of Hanover.

Opening festival

Grand opening with Lord Mayor Belit Onay, Eva Bender (Head of the Department of Culture and Education) and Anne Gemeinhardt (Director of the Museums of Cultural History)
