Two children alone in the forest - a nightmare not only for helicopter parents. While picking berries, the siblings Hansel and Gretel get lost in the thicket. Although they meet all kinds of friendly creatures there, they end up falling into the clutches of the evil crunchy witch. But luckily the two children are pretty clever ...

A classic returns to the Wuppertal Opera House! The 2006 production by former artistic director Johannes Weigand, which was much loved by audiences, has achieved cult status. With its "contemporary children's book aesthetic" (Markus Pysall), the play is perfect for young audiences, but adults will also get their money's worth here!
