Rex Hofman (Gene Bervoets) and Saskia Wagter (Johanna ter Steege), a young couple in love, set off on a vacation together. When they stop off en route, Saskia disappears from the scene without a trace. After the local police prove to be extremely helpless and Rex doesn't feel that he is being taken seriously at all, he starts his own investigation. Rex searches intensively for his lover for three years, but unfortunately in vain. Saskia no longer seems to exist. But then he receives a mysterious postcard whose sender claims to be able to tell him more about Saskia's fate. Rex is spurred on to resume the investigations he had wanted to stop out of desperation. But who is the mysterious man and where did he get the information about Saskia?
