The now globally in-demand Herrensauna started with the best and most humble intentions: a group of friends hosting small, intimate, and freewheeling (gay) parties with thrilling, driving techno sounds in an old men's sauna. The music is ardent, with a striking, dismal gloom, marked by martial visuals and a refreshing, gritty sense of glam. And, of course: G R O O V E!

Herrensauna has ignited renewed interest in these timeless Techno tropes (that have charecterized wide ranges of the scene in recent years again), but no matter how large their events or touring schedules have become, the communal sense of their music and events is unmistakable as soon as you enter the party. Herrensauna has remained a close-knit group of friends with an acquired taste in music, throwing great raves-and now they're back to make even more friends at Blitz in Munich!

Founding core members CEM and MCMLXXXV (pronounced: Herrenscheide) will provide the soundtrack for the celebration, proving the success of the Herrensauna formula with addictive rhythms and that spicy and signature, outré ingredient to the groove. Beste Hira, who grew up studying cello and piano in Istanbul, now successfully pursues a career in electronic dance music from Amsterdam. Her sound is focused on the opiate yet agile spectrum of sombre techno, but she stages these popular motifs with a refined sense of rhythm that keeps the narrative exciting.

Adding a local flavor to the mix is Nastasia. Alongside Nastasia's now well-known activism to make Munich's nightlife safer and more inclusive as part of the WUT collective, the local is another devotee of stomping, immersive rhythms and stygian tones - they'll accompany the sweaty sensation in best manner.

The now internationally renowned men's sauna began with charismatic and modest intentions: A group of friends organized intimate, carefree (gay) parties in an old men's sauna, accompanied by driving techno sounds. These events were characterized by passionate, night-black music, martial visuals and a raw sense of glamour. And of course: G R O O V E.

Herrensauna has reignited interest in these timeless techno tropes, which have once again shaped large parts of the scene in recent years. Despite growing event sizes and tour schedules, the communal feel of their music and parties remains unmistakable. Herrensauna is still a close-knit group of friends with a select taste in music who put on rousing raves.

Founding members CEM and MCMLXXXV (pronounced: Herrenscheide) introduce the secrets of Herrensauna and celebrate ecstatic and refreshingly raw rhythms of techno, breaks, industrial and EBM with a coarse grind.

Beste Hira from Istanbul is also part of the party. After studying cello and piano, she is now pursuing a career in electronic music from Amsterdam. Her sound focuses on the opiate but agile spectrum of dark techno, which she stages with a fine sense of rhythm that stands out from the crowd.

Local color is provided by Nastasia, whose activism for a safe and inclusive nightlife in Munich, especially for FLINTA*s, has long been known as part of the WUT collective. Her preference for pounding, immersive and opaque grooves will be the perfect accompaniment to today's sweaty men's sauna event.
