Hertzflimmern 2025: MAXI PONGRATZ

In the organizer's words:

Maxi Pongratz, the accordion player, lyricist, songwriter and a Kofelgschroa from the very beginning, is a commuter between the big city and the small town, between Munich-Obergiesing and Oberammergau, between the big picture and the often overlooked, whimsical little things.

In his early years as a musician, Pongratz baked apple strudel in the Hofbräuhaus, prepared the Kandahar ski slope for the World Cup or toured the country as Don Quixote with the traveling theater. Later, he was a brother of Jesus during the 2010 Passion Play in Oberammergau and studied classical accordion at the vocational college for music in Altötting. He didn't need the degree after all, Maxi Pongratz took a different path. His musical travels have taken him through Southern, Eastern and Central Europe, to Turkey, South America and the South of America.
