SONG-INSTALLATION IN THE TRANSPORTER

The audiovisual installation REFUGIUM with music and dance is based on Gustav Mahler's song "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen". During the HIDALGO Festival for Young Classical Music from September to November 2023, we will set it up at various locations in Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart and Siegburg. The visitors listen to the music via sound-neutralizing headphones in the darkened installation space. For the duration of a song, an artistic space of protection and experience is created - in times of numerous crises.

And who is hosting this? We are the HIDALGO - a Munich-based classical music start-up. We combine paradoxical worlds into intense, intoxicating experiences. Our interdisciplinary team has been fighting for this with passion and the highest standards since 2016. We understand classical music as a current form of expression. To this end, we produce innovative concert formats and organize the annual HIDALGO Festival for Young Classical Music (October 2-30, 2023). We create video installations, commission sound design, and confront romantic poetry with modern lyricism. What is allowed is what comes together to form something greater.
