Cinema for the ears: John Sinclair audio drama in Dolby Atmos for the first time
After Bastei Lübbe opulently celebrated "50 years of John Sinclair" last year, Lübbe Audio is now bringing a very special audio experience to the cinema. The radio play adventure "The Beginning" marks the very first John Sinclair radio play in Dolby Atmos!
Thanks to Dolby Atmos, this immersive mix by Dieter Krauthausen (who also mixed "The Peppermint Experiment" by Marius Müller-Westernhagen) has become a three-dimensional sound experience that puts the listener right in the middle of the action and offers a unique atmosphere. The additional audio channels in surround and treble create a completely new soundscape that embeds the listener and gives them the feeling of being the center of the radio play. A mix that is hard to beat in terms of clarity and depth.
The story, however, remains the same: in Scotland, Professor Ivan Orgow performs black magic rites in his old castle, bringing the dead back to life. After the first mysterious deaths occur, Scotland Yard is called in to help. But even ghost hunter John Sinclair, with the help of the army, seems powerless against the dark side. For "The Night of the Witcher" (original novel title) has only just begun...
More than 50 years ago, in July 1973, Jason Dark alias Helmut Rellergerd wrote "The Night of the Witcher", the very first adventure in which the now famous ghost hunter John Sinclair appeared on the scene. He created a cosmos that, thousands of issues and hundreds of radio plays later, is more alive than ever. With a print run of well over 250 million novels and over 8 million radio plays sold, the "John Sinclair" brand has long since achieved cult status. In addition to regular top 10 rankings on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for audio books, the audio plays have been awarded gold and platinum several times.
Now old and new fans of the series can experience the gripping story all over again - right in the middle of the action!
