PERFORMANCE: DANCE INTO THE NIGHT - HOUSE OF BROWNIES

Together we will experience a provocative dance performance in a club atmosphere that critically examines the theme of decolonization. The piece examines the dynamics of access and expression and poses challenging questions: Who is allowed to represent whom? Who can

By deconstructing stereotypes and celebrating diverse identities, the performance aims to break down entrenched paradigms and encourage critical thinking about empowerment and representation. The evening culminates in a transformative disco experience featuring the cultural contributions of the African-American, Hispanic/Latino and LGBTQ+ communities. This event goes beyond entertainment and serves as a platform for reflection and dialogue.

The collective consists of six international members from Germany/Nepal, Colombia, Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil and Zimbabwe. They met in Hamburg through art and their shared experiences as brown and black people in Germany.
