One Foot In The Blues

Hugo Scholz and Jazz4Four, the band led by trombonist Albrecht Schmücker, present soul, funk and blues in jazz. In their program, the musicians play titles by gifted vocalists such as Ray Charles, Johnny Adams, Charles Brown and this time also by the great songwriter Gregg Allman. Hugo Scholz proves himself to be an exceptional singer and dynamic saxophonist. The musicians' enjoyment of groove jazz spills over to the audience when brass power takes precedence. And that has always been a good thing. As it says in "Midnight Rider", the wonderful song by Gregg Allman: The road goes on forever.
The audience can look forward to a program under the motto "One Foot In The Blues". The musicians move with one foot on bluesy ground, but with the other they stand firmly on the ground of jazz.
