WHERE ARE WE GOING? EXOPLANET explores what it might mean to be human despite the challenges and problems of today: What weighs heavier? Empathy or greed? Will humanity at some point decide to leave Earth and seek new habitats in space? Or will it learn to appreciate and preserve our planet? Who will decide whether we embark on this "rescue mission"? And would such a place in space really be a solution or just a distraction from our current problems? On their album EXOPLANET (Setola di Maiale), the collective Inopia explores space, time, movement and sound in equal measure, guided by a hybrid score composed by Pascal Burbach.
The artists turn to interpersonal feelings and emotions in real time and transform them into sound: from ambient drones to needle-like action fields, all painted on the canvas of space and time.

Inopia is a collective of young sound creators. A sometimes calmly swinging, sometimes boomingly loud vibrating carpet of sound, woven from prepared cells and improvisation, meets the resonance of the space. The space becomes an active element of the performance: it absorbs the sound, amplifies it and steers it in a new, unpredictable direction. Every moment becomes a new discovery, an unexplored soundscape that unfolds in the moment. This soundscape emerges from a constant dialog with the space and itself: Inopia intuitively shapes, manipulates and shifts the radius of intensity under the direction of the space.
