With his unique style and sound, John Scofield became internationally renowned as a master guitarist and composer. Scofield's oeuvre encompasses jazz, funk, rock and blues and he has worked with legends such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Chet Baker. Jörg Steineck accompanied the 70-year-old musician on tour and at his home in Katonah, New York, for several weeks in 2018. "He plays as if he lets his innermost self emerge through his instrument," says Steineck. "He plays exactly as he lives and as he is as a person.
