Ever since Icelandic composer Valgeir Sigurðsson worked with Björk on her DANCER IN THE DARK soundtrack and founded the pioneering Bedroom Community label in 2005, he has been one of the most important driving forces behind productions between pop and classical music as a musician, producer (from Feist to Ólafur Arnalds) and composer for stage and film. Before he performs his latest project Isabelle Lewis at the Elbphilharmonie in May, he will present it at Kampnagel: Named after the fictional character Isabelle Lewis, Sigurðsson works here together with countertenor Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe and violinist Elisabeth Klinck. The result is an intense fusion of past and present, of man and machine, a rococo treasure viewed under cold neon light. Sigurðsson's delicate electronics combine with the bowing and fingering techniques of Klinck's violin and Meirhaeghe's theatrical vocals to create a perfect "drama", as the first single from her debut album "Greetings" (release date: 18.10.) is aptly titled.
