After years of working with bands such as the Frederik Köster Quartet and Die Verwandlung, the Cologne-based trumpeter and composer is always on the lookout for innovation and renewal. At his side are the experimental and versatile young musicians Jannis Sicker, Calvin Lennig and Thomas Sauerborn, who present and interpret mostly new music written especially for this line-up. Certain facets of Köster's music appear again and again, such as elements of alternative rock, spherical sounds or compositional links to European classical music.
