Jazz revival: young people are once again enthusiastic about swinging
rhythms and jazzy grooves. Yet little is known about the background to this
music. How did jazz come to Germany and why
why did the Nazis see the enthusiasm for jazz as a danger? Reinhard Kungel and Andreas Heinrich set out in search of answers. They accompany young jazz musicians on tours, rehearsals and concerts, where they discuss their own role models and take an in-depth look at the roots of jazz.
