Renowned Californian prog-fusion guitarist Travis Larson and former Evanescence guitarist Jen Majura have teamed up to create a new art form of entertaining musical shred-fest. Travis Larson is best known for his solo work and countless collaborations with musicians such as Steve Morse, John Petrucci and Steve Lukather. After nine studio albums, the American
instrumental fusion guitarist is currently on tour with his latest album "The New Exhibit", which was released in March 2023.
Jen Majura from the former multiple Grammy-winning US alternative band Evanescence has toured the world with various acts and has collaborated with Mike Mangini (ex-Dream Theater), Blind Guardian, Knorkator, Rage and Equilibrium. Majura released two solo albums (self-titled 2015 and "InZENity" 2017). In 2020, she raised her international profile with her successful YouTube series "1min jammms...", in which she brought together all kinds of rock stars and legendary musicians from all over the world to jam Guilty Pleasure songs from the 80s online.
With the concept of "An Evening With...", touring veterans Larson and Majura have created a show that takes their audience on a guitar-driven journey through a variety of musical styles and genres, while remaining human and down-to-earth. They engage their audience to create each show together in a unique way. Majura demonstrates her artistic skills by painting an acrylic painting live on stage at each show, tour stories are told and there is plenty of laughter - a great event not to be missed!

At last! But what goes around comes around. After Big Time (2011), Easy Game (2014) and Criminal Record (2016), Adrian Weiss is back with his fourth instrumental solo album Dangerous Discipline, having completed two album tour cycles for End of the Night and Cult of Sedna with his main band Gloryful in the time after the last album, finished an album production with the new death metal project SubOrbital, and used the last two concert-free years to - among other things - record his second solo album Dangerous Discipline. to complete his fourth solo work, in addition to recording David Readman's second solo album.
Stylistically, Dangerous Discipline is more clearly oriented towards metal again, after its predecessor Criminal Record was dedicated a little more to rock, fusion and, somewhat more frequently, more relaxed sounds. Nevertheless, Dangerous Discipline is by no means lacking in dynamism or stylistic diversity.
In terms of personnel, the new album also has one change compared to its predecessors, as Adrian's former Forces at Work band colleague Sabir Salkic took over the drums this time, stepping in for Lars Zehner in the studio at short notice after the latter had to cancel due to other commitments. As usual, Adrian's regular bassist Marcel Willnat provided the bass. Tim Schulte, who also produced Adrian's last two solo albums in his studio, was again responsible for drum recordings, mixing and mastering. Guitar and bass recordings were made entirely at home for the first time on this album.
