Johnnie Carwash was born in a garage in Lyon, between sheet metal and concrete, but it was only in the sunlight that they could really show their colors: Two years on tour, around 150 gigs, and relentless rock. Like a positive-sounding version of Nirvana or Wavves on EPO, with catchy melodies for wild souls, cheeky smiles and raw energy - the cool kids are back with their second album "No Friends, No Pain". Ten tracks that celebrate friendship, love and break-ups without ever losing the fun and lightness.
Four Black Lungs
Heartland Punk / Gainesville Punk from Munich
With their debut album "Don't Tell Me There Is Nothing Left", released on 24.05.2024 via Noisy Plastic Records, Four Black Lungs deliver eight songs that will immediately pick up fans of Hot Water Music, The Menzingers, Iron Chic and Spanish Love Songs. The band's sound is raw, melodic and uncompromising - a tribute to American heartland punk and the driving Gainesville sound.
With the singles "Recovery" and "Old Patterns" at the end of 2023, the band already made a powerful statement in a society that is moving further and further apart. The finished album remains true to this line: honest punk rock that goes straight to the heart and is rounded off by features from the bands Nofnog and Swallow's Rose.
Testimonials:

"Four Black Lungs deliver a really strong punk rock album that is sufficiently melodic but not at all poppy. Fans of The Flatliners or Iron Chic should definitely give it a listen." - Away from Life
"Strong punk with raw but melodic vocals - an album that convinces on first listen and grows with each subsequent listen." - punkette webzine
