In this drama, the exceptionally talented Joaquin Phoenix shows how a simple man with mental problems becomes Batman's worst enemy.
Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) struggles with mental problems and life itself. A psychological tic causes him to laugh uncontrollably whenever he is nervous. The clown actor secretly dreams of a career as a stand-up comedian. But he fails colossally at a gig and subsequently becomes the laughing stock of the whole town after a recording of the gig ends up on television.
When Arthur also loses his job, he finally snaps and sets off an avalanche of violence that can hardly be stopped: The Joker is born.

JOKER: Folie à Deux
The film tells how Arthur Fleck awaits trial for his crimes as the Joker in the Arkham psychiatric institution. While in conflict with his dual identity, Arthur not only meets his true love, but also finds the music that has always lain dormant inside him.
