The up-and-coming musician Jonny Mahoro inspires with his honest lyrics and a unique blend of German pop, R&B and indie pop. On the road as a solo artist since 2022, the 25-year-old began his musical journey at a young age and now impresses with the profound stories he tells in his music.

Jonny Mahoro couldn't get into music fast enough. Even as a child, he was drawn to the stage: at the age of six, he performed for the first time with a children's choir in his home town of Bonn. His musical roots are diverse - in addition to the guitar, which is still an important part of his music today, he also learned to play the trombone. During his participation in The Voice of Germany 2017, he left the trombone behind and performed with his former duo partner Jakob instead. Under the name "Jonny & Jakob", they played as support for well-known artists such as LEA, Alice Merton, Milow and Wincent Weiss and went on a successful headlining tour through Germany.

Jonny Mahoro has been performing alone on stage since 2022. His music, which he describes as honest German pop with influences from R&B and indie pop, always tells of experiences from his own life. "I think I loved myself empty," Jonny sings at the top of his voice as he strums his guitar. His songs, which are carried by fully produced beats, reflect his love of R&B and indie music and make it clear that showing feelings is a true strength.
