He transforms sadness into high spirits, with the message that we are all human. "It's okay: none of us are okay". In 2024, Joost released the song "Europapa", a tribute to his father. With the song, he wants to show that there are no boundaries if you want to realize your dreams and tell your story. Europapa" is a crazy mix of nostalgia, melancholy and happiness, performed with the poetic lyrics and catchy beats that Joost has become known for.
