JUDITA – Das kroatische Nationalepos in der Oper von Frano Parać

In the organizer's words:

Ivan Repušić, chief conductor of the Munich Radio Orchestra, has brought souvenirs from his native Croatia. The contemporary composer Frano Parać will be introduced personally and musically: a sound magician and wanderer between worlds who transformed himself from a rock musician to a professor at the Zagreb Academy of Music. His biblical opera Judita is based on the Croatian national epic of the same name by Marko Marulić and combines modern musical language with south-eastern European tradition.

Guests: the Croatian Radio Choir and a German-Croatian solo ensemble.
