Julian Kretzschmar & Band

The charismatic singer-songwriter set the bar high with the release of "Higher Hopes" in 2022 and caused a sensation with the single "Your Ghost" in particular. Now Kretzschmar invites you to celebrate the release of his fifth studio album at the legendary Theaterstübchen in Kassel. If you look at the almost effusive-sounding press reviews and Kretzschmar's career1, it may initially seem surprising that the singer-songwriter, who was born in Lübeck, grew up in Alsfeld and now lives in Kassel, has not long since outgrown the status of "musical insider tip".
The press has repeatedly spoken of the magnetic effect of Kretzschmar's voice, which is said to have an intensity that is hard to resist (see HNA Kassel 2016/2018/ HNA Rotenburg 2021), a voice that "leaves the listener speechless" (OZ 2016). The sensitive and virtuoso arrangements of the instrumentalists, which combine musical influences from the fields of new folk, Americana, indie and alternative rock, are often mentioned in the press as no less impressive. The atmospheric sound design of guitarist Michael Hopka and the virtuoso drumming of Christian Svenson and Daniel Schild stand out in particular (cf. HNA)
