In the organizer's words:

Julian Prégardien is almost an old acquaintance of the Bergson. The famous tenor gave an acclaimed concert at our pop-up store on Marienplatz in October last year. Now he is coming to the Elektra Tonquartier for the first time to sing two poignant Bach arias.

The Balthasar Neumann Academy and the Balthasar Neumann Orchestra will ensure that the evening is a celebration with timpani and trumpets. The musicians from all over Europe will present a program of the highest standard, including pieces by Georg Philipp Telemann as well as Johann Sebastian Bach.

The concert will be conducted by the internationally renowned musicians Andrea Rognoni (violin) and Moritz Görg (trumpet) - as was customary at the time the works were composed - from the ranks of the orchestra.

Moritz has put together so-called pasticci for the program, combining pieces from various works by Telemann, e.g. the radiant Concerto for three trumpets and timpani or the Trumpet Concerto in D major.

You can also experience Bach's famous Orchestral Suite No. 3, whose "Air" you know one hundred percent! You don't believe that? Google it...
