How much nature still lives in us humans? 'Exposure' is a radical-physical search for our primal instincts and their release. To the sounds and music of Ben Frost, which the Australian-Icelandic star composer plays live on stage, Julio César Iglesias Ungo develops a unique aesthetic between urban and contemporary dance.

The award-winning Cuban dancer and choreographer has previously worked with RENEGADE, the forerunner of the Urban Arts Ensemble Ruhr, and for the Danza Contemporánea de Cuba company from Havana, which is known for its Cuban modern dance techniques. Julio César Iglesias Ungo is therefore familiar with the distinctive dance aesthetics of both ensembles - now he is combining their potential and bringing them both to the stage together in a world premiere at PACT.

The Urban Arts Ensemble Ruhr, which is doing pioneering work as a professional urban dance ensemble in the Ruhr region, presented its first world premiere at PACT in 2023 with 'Cracks'. With 'Exposure', it now skillfully crosses genre boundaries and celebrates the diversity of urban and contemporary dance.
