With all our actions, we enter into relationships, with ourselves and with the environment. We act and react. New impulses constantly reach us. Experiences result. Although we move as individuals, we work in a community. Entangled, intertwined, networked.
Finding a common musical language is a relationship of dependence between the musicians. The nucleus of the program is the solo piece, the performer in his own exchange, represented by the Italian Filidei, who searches for the interrelationship of silence, sound and time, and the American, multimedia-working composer Muir. The duet-like interplay continues with the furious short composition by the Swede Hillborg and the soggy sounds of Vivier. A collaboration culminates in ever larger ensembles - in memory of the sound weaver Saariaho. The multi-layered works by Rihm, Ronchetti and Boulez are characterized by intense interplay. Relational sounds. Sound relationship. So simple, so complicated.
