Karabiner Comedy

In the organizer's words:

As part of the lesbian/queer visibilty weeks Cologne, we hook our carabiners to our belt loops and pull out the best jokes for "Karabiner Comedy".

Our hilarious host Jana Goller manages to translate the struggles of existing as a queer woman in this society into light-hearted jokes. Jana works in various associations for feminist causes and queer visibility on stage, works more days than there are hours in the week and still isn't her therapist's favorite patient - we're amazed too! She has invited two certified comedy mice and will put on a great show with them.

Marie Harnau is a stand-up comedian from Berlin and impresses with her authentic and self-deprecating humor. Between stories of dating matches and snogging in the cemetery, everything in Marie's comedy is actually queer. They also host Kaktus Comedy, the first regular open mic for FLINTA* and queer people in the capital.

Sophia Spitzenberg, also known as Hamburg's funniest woman with a transition background, doesn't shy away from any topic. Whether it's about her broken mental health, her supportive but awkward family or JK Rowling, Sophia tackles it all. Always armed with trenchant observations, brutal honesty and a bit of absurdity, Sophia has a clever answer for everything... unless her gaydar is called for.

We are looking forward to an evening full of lesbian jokes, queer panic and gender euphoria, where we can laugh and pat ourselves on the back without fear of discriminatory jokes lurking around the next corner. Come as you are, we look forward to seeing you - it's going to be awesome hehe <3
