Kassandra reloaded

In the organizer's words:

Cassandra Reloaded

Musical reading / solo evening with Loopstation by and with Miriam Haltmeier

"Kassandra Reloaded" is a musical reading with a loop station that takes us back to the history of the Trojan War. Cassandra: daughter of Priam, king of Troy. She is given the gift of sight by the god Apollo and at the same time cursed: all her predictions are true, but no one will believe her. In Troy, she experiences the ten-year battle for the city, foresees its downfall and yet is not heard. Author Christa Wolf makes her despair more and more at the system of violence and oppression in Troy. At the same time, she questions the patriarchal order, the myth-making surrounding the ancient heroes and constantly seeks new ways to be heard herself.

Each performance is followed by a discussion with the artist. Contact for school performances: vermittlung@pathos.theater.

Together with our audience, we at PATHOS theater would like to take responsibility for the climate impact costs of our operations, which are associated with the unavoidable emissions of our theater. The €2 or €4 surcharge on the ticket price goes 100% to the Climate Fair project, which is committed to promoting social and ecological transformation in Germany and here in Munich (e.g. by investing in green electricity systems and energy-saving projects).
