Heart and home

For the Kastelruther Spatzen, "heart and home" belong together. You can see this in their traditional costumes and hear it in their songs, which are always about the love of their homeland, the beautiful Alpine nature and the life of the people in South Tyrol. It is precisely these recurring images of nature, deep feelings, religious values and musical roots that can be recognized in many of the Spatzen's songs. The Spatzen have never allowed themselves to be bent. Basic values such as faith, a simple life close to nature and the aforementioned love for their homeland of South Tyrol play an important role. The close cohesion within the group and the aspiration to convey content in the songs that comes directly from people's everyday lives and thus appeals to the emotional world of their many fans is also important here. So it's no wonder that their music now connects generations. "Heart and Home" is therefore the well-chosen title of the Spatzen's new concert tour. There is also an anniversary to celebrate this year. It is now exactly 40 years since the Kastelruther Spatzen released their first album "Viel Spaß und Freude" and the Spatzen are still passionate summiteers in the music business today. They can call an incredible 13 Echos and countless platinum and gold awards their own. They are the most successful group in the folk music scene of all time. That is beyond question!
