When Andrea Dileva, professor of ancient Greek literature, wakes up one morning from troubled dreams, he realizes that his heart is missing. And not only that: other parts of his body are gradually disappearing. How can this be? And what do the (too) many women in his life have to do with it? Chiara Valerio, author, mathematician and specialist in probability theory, unleashes a narrative kaleidoscope à la Virginia Woolf in her new novel (published by nonsolo // in German by Christiane Burkhardt // nominated for the Premio Strega). She tells an ironic yet empathetic story about a man who gets lost. And of the power of love.
