Kill The Lights

Kill The Lights, made up of former members of Bullet for My Valentine, Throw the Fight, Threat Signal and Still Remains, have announced their second album "Death Melodies". It will be released on March 8th via Fearless Records and is already available for pre-order.

The band has just released the video for the new single "Sleep With the Devil". Singer James Clark says: "'Sleep With the Devil' is lyrically about the struggle with addiction and the daily battle to stay sober. Every day when you wake up, you're in a constant battle with the inner voices and demons that tell you that you're not good enough and that you should give up. Just one look in the mirror reminds you of how you have let yourself, your family and your friends down. It's a constant negative cycle that fuels your desire to hide the pain and disappointment by abusing yourself."

The band have just announced their European tour "The Death Melodies" for spring 2024. Starting in Cardiff, Wales, it will take in major cities in England, Scotland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany, ending in Cologne. Certain bonds transcend all borders and boundaries. Kill The Lights harbor that kind of connection between them. Although Michael "Moose" Thomas [drums] and Jason "Jay" James [bass] live in Bridgend, Wales, James Clark [vocals] in Minneapolis, MN, Jordan Whelan [guitar] in Grand Rapids, MI, and Travis Montgomery [guitar] in Dallas, TX, the musicians are locked into an impenetrable groove that eclipses physical distance. The band is particularly adept at blending classic, galloping guitar riffing with modern metal conventions like alternating sung and screamed vocals and breakdowns that bring mosh pits to eruption.

Of course, the musicians have an incredible pedigree. Moose co-founded international multi-platinum heavyweights Bullet For My Valentine, while Jay also played in the band. James was the frontman of Throw The Fight and Jordan and Travis played guitar in Still Remains and Threat Signal respectively. When they formed Kill The Lights, they discovered an incredible chemistry and released their

debut album "The Sinner" in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Among the many highlights was "The Faceless" with over 2 million Spotify streams, followed by "Through The Night" and "Shed My Skin", which both surpassed the 1 million mark. Metal Hammer rated the album 4 out of 5 stars and proclaimed: "Kill The Lights bring the groove and the glory.
