Arnold Schönberg was undoubtedly one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. His "method of composing with twelve notes related only to each other" and the serialism that later resulted from it shaped aesthetic trends for a long time and still endure today. His reputation among the greats of his profession was correspondingly high at the time. The program of this concert is a journey through his piano music with many associations of his companions, students, successors and antipodes.
