Minimal non-pop is written in big letters on the banners of SixTurnsNine. The trio's very own musical cocktail from the Rhineland is the perfect soundtrack for music maniacs who love light and lightness, but also know darkness.

Drum loops from the golden era of trip-hop and haunting bass lines reduced to the essentials go hand in hand with vintage keyboards that evoke memories of the great days of proto-goth. All of this is supported by wonderfully warm and bluesy female vocals that effortlessly and always authentically oscillate between great theatricality, absolute warmth of heart, fragility and casual hippie vibes.

The result is a unique cosmos that will captivate fans of Massive Attack and Portishead as well as fans of Siouxsie or Joy Division.

Anja Valpiani (vocals), Lutz Bauer (keys, electronics) and Philip Akoto (bass) came together in 2016 and have been touring clubs and festivals across Germany ever since. The band is currently presenting its latest album "Borders".
