Laura Jane Grace is a major figure in today's rock scene, both as a solo artist and as the frontwoman of Against Me!, which she founded in Naples, Florida, in the late 1990s. As an active artist, she has released four solo releases and seven albums with Against Me! and made her gender transition public in Rolling Stone in 2012. She continues to detail her journey in her music, while staying true to her earlier themes of outspoken political criticism, environmentalism, and personal and social liberation. Her roots lie in American music, such as country and folk rock, with a great fondness for noise and anarchy.
