LAZARUS

Based on the novel "The Man Who Fell To Earth" by Walter Tevis German by Peter Torberg

Thomas Newton came to Earth to save his dying home planet. But adverse circumstances stranded him here, and his attempts to adapt to earthly life failed. Newton has been stuck on Earth ever since. Lonely and disillusioned, he drowns his inner demons in gin, until one day a strange girl appears who awakens in him the hope of escaping the world after all.
Shortly before his death, the exceptional artist David Bowie fulfilled his lifelong dream and, together with the playwright Enda Walsh, wrote a musical that uses the alien's novel character as a source of inspiration and revolves around death and resurrection. With Bowie's iconic soundtrack and a poetically enigmatic plot, "Lazarus" offers an emotional journey through the world of an outsider who spends his life searching for a place where he truly belongs.

Another note: it gets loud in "Lazarus" - that's in the nature of things. We have earplugs available at the checkroom for anyone with sensitive ears.
