Lesung CIUDAD JUÁREZ

We are delighted to welcome Kathrin Zeiske, an internationally successful wrestler, on August 9. Kathrin Zeiske lives mainly in Ciudad Juárez. She reports from there as a freelance journalist and organizes political educational trips. The border town between Mexico and the USA has become famous for the murders of women. Ciudad Juárez is embattled by drug cartels and gangs and the majority of its inhabitants work for starvation wages in world market factories. On Friday evening at 8 pm, Kathrin Zeiske will read from her book about Ciudad Juárez and tell us episodes from the megacity beyond the headlines. In her book, Kathrin Zeiske introduces us to people who are helping to shape the city despite the adverse circumstances. The following day, we present Miss Kath with a Lucha Libre seminar. We are happy to receive a donation at the reading.
