The electronic patient file (ePA) - The end of confidentiality? The e-file is now automatically set up for every citizen. Doctors and therapists are obliged to fill it in. The data flows automatically from the file directly to research and into the European data space. Vaccination records, medication plans and findings are stored centrally on servers together with the file. What are the consequences of this? Will the technology improve care and our healthcare system? Or would the billions spent on the project be better invested elsewhere? 
The psychiatrist and psychotherapist Dr. Andreas Meißner has already represented petitions to the Bundestag on these questions and has recently written an easy-to-understand and informative book on the subject. On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, he will read from it at Café Goldmund and give a talk on the subject.
