LIME CRUSH (Vienna) + ÄDWUD (Cologne) on 09.09.2024 in the 674FM concert hall

Lime Crush are a brilliant mix of clattering punk eruptions, danceable garage rock, riot grrrl, a bit of pop and a lot of humor. In short: "an endearing mutation of Teen Beat, X-Ray Spex, Shonen Knife and Die Tödliche Doris with a youthful touch of green, yellow and fresh" (IV/AN). Existential themes are dealt with in a surprisingly good-humored manner, usually in under three minutes. The rotation principle applies to the instruments and D.I.Y. is mandatory anyway.

The bustling quartet is also known from other contexts: Veronika Eberhart (Ilsebill, Tirana, Plaided), Nicoletta Hernández (Cry Baby!), Nicholas Hoffman and, of course, Andi Dvořák from the Viennese label Fettkakao.

After a few gigs with Beth Ditto's THE GOSSIP, LIME CRUSH will be making a brief stopover in Cologne.

Ädwud' is a solo artist from a soulless satellite town within the devastating Rhine-Ruhr metropolis.

In order to defy the meaningless existence, he tries to pour the paradox, euphoria and melancholy of the surroundings and their inhabitants as well as himself into musical form. The latest work of this endeavor is called 'Fringe' and was released on cassette by 'Mörtel Sounds' in the summer of 2024. You can hear post-moody post-rock, post-punk & post-wave between despair, longing and hope: haunting and danceable at the same time.
