Luciano Marziali: »Miniaturen!«

"Miniatures!" - Luciano Marziali presents the greatness of the guitar using the smallest musical compositional form of all: the miniature. The master guitarist from Italy has been delighting audiences for many years with his extraordinary and entertaining programs at the highest level. In Aachen, the focus will be on extraordinary composers from Italy, including beautiful miniatures by Leonardo da Vinci, Vincenzo Galilei (Galileo Galilei's father) and Benvenuto Terzi.

He will also perform small but important works from the original literature for concert guitar by the Mexican Manuel Maria Ponce and the Cuban Leo Brouwer, among others, and combine these with his own arrangements of the Children's Songs by the world-famous American jazz pianist Chick Corea.

For more than two decades, Luciano Marziali has succeeded in inspiring a wide audience for the classical guitar and its repertoire. To this end, he creates his programs with a good balance between sophisticated classical literature and more catchy music. With anecdotes and short, gripping stories, his concerts are made more understandable and highly entertaining with charm and competence.
