Lucio dove vai? Costanza Alegiani Trio Folkways in Konzert

In honour of the Italian musician Lucio Dalla, who died in March 2012, the Italian Cultural Institute Cologne is hosting the concert "Lucio dove vai?" by the Costanza Alegiani Folkways Trio on 12 March at 7 pm in the institute's theater hall.

"Lucio dove vai" is a previously unpublished project by singer and composer Costanza Alegiani, which emerged in 2022 from her collaboration with Valerio Corzani and Rai Radio3. Ten years after his death, this also resulted in a radio concert in memory of the great singer-songwriter. From this live project, the album of the same name "Lucio dove vai?" was produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma and Parco della Musica Records. This marked the beginning - with the collaboration of Antonello Salis and Francesco Diodati - of the trio's successful encounter with Dallas' music, poetry and voice. Songs from the Bolognese singer-songwriter's first phase ("Anna Bellanna", "La casa in riva al mare", "Lucio dove vai") as well as the period of successful album production together with the poet Roberto Roversi (with songs such as "La canzone di Orlando", "Il Coyote" and "Anidride Solforosa") are presented, which have significantly influenced Dallas' poetry and style.

The Trio Folkways consists of: Costanza Alegiani (vocals, synth), Marcello Allulli (tenor sax, live electronics) and Riccardo Gola (double bass, live electronics).

Costanza Alegiani (Rome, 1984) not only leads the trio Folkways (with whom she recorded the album Folkways), but together with Peppe Servillo is the director of the orchestral project "Di cosa vive l'uomo: le canzoni di Kurt Weill e Bertolt Brecht". From 2018 to 2020, together with Camilla Battaglia, she was the lead singer of the Orchestra Nazionale Jazz Giovani Talenti under the direction of Paolo Damiani, with whom she recorded the album Oscene rivolte. Together with Fabrizio Sferra, she was the director of the project (and album) "Grace in Town".
