In the organizer's words:
Lucrezia Borgia, the poisoner, adulteress and murderess, does everything she can to fulfill the image erected by her husband and is just as passionate about finding a new identity. Her son Gennaro falls in love with her at first sight - unaware that she is his mother. Out of wantonness, in the company of his young friends, he desecrates her name. He must atone for this: Don Alfonso, her husband, wants to get rid of his supposed rival. Poison comes into play. But Gennaro is saved - by her. Poison is administered a second time, this time by her, indiscriminately, as an act of blind revenge, to the whole crowd of men. Too late she realizes Gennaro's presence, too late she confesses motherhood. Gennaro is dead. What remains is a merciless trauma for the survivors.
